Fulham head coach Marco Silva has asked deadline day signing Armando Broja to be patient after Rodrigo Muniz’s goalscoring exploits have kept him out of the starting line up at Craven Cottage.
The Albanian striker, who joined Fulham on loan from Chelsea at the end of last month, has made two substitute appearances for his new club since moving down the King’s Road. Silva opted to start Muniz at Burnley at the start of February and the Brazilian striker has since scored three times in two games – including a match-turning brace against Bournemouth on Saturday.
Silva revealed that he has already spoken to Broja about the situation:
“He knows that. I had a conversation yesterday with him about the situation, this is the Premier League. He has a lot of potential, we really believe in him. He was a player we looked at last summer as well and he knows that there will be competition for places. He only arrived last week before the Burnley game.”
