Centre back Derek Lampe made his Fulham debut as a nineteen year-old on the opening day of the 1956/1957 season. He went on to make 96 appearances for the Whites, scoring a single goal, winning promotion in 1959 and reaching two FA Cup semi-finals. Lampe was forced to retire early due to injury aged only 27.
