Fulham chief executive officer Alistair Mackintosh has told the Fulham Supporters’ Trust that their protests against the club’s ticketing pricing ‘were not helpful’ as they may jeopardise investment from Fulham’s American owners.
In notes from the monthly meeting between the club and the Trust’s elected representatives released this afternoon, Mackintosh questioned whether the Trust were representative of the wider Fulham fanbase since tickets had sold out for a number of home games and insisted that the club’s ‘ticketing strategy was working’. He reiterated that ticket pricing was ‘a matter for the club’s board’ and that the current approach was a commercial success.
For their part, the Trust reaffirmed their commitment to continuing their affordable Fulham campaign as ‘this was not an issue that the Trust could drop.’

Would like to see FFC explore the possibility of safe standing now that it is an option. I’m old enough to remember standing in the Johnny Haynes stand which could easily revert to its original arrangement. The terracing is at a very shallow rake and is not that deep either.
Disappointing but unsurprising short term thinking from the Board. Makes you wonder if the Khans are trying to pump up earnings and metrics before a sale. It seems like club leadership constantly sweeps issues the FST raises under the rug. Ticket sales are not a significant portion of club earnings so maximising profits here is fools gold. All we want are affordable tickets, especially for youths and families, and we don’t want away fans in our stands. If tourists and away fans want to pay hundreds of pounds for hospitality then that’s what parts of the Riverside stand is for
AM’s response is very disappointing and ridiculous. So, if we are good little boys and girls and flutter our eyelids at him and ownership, Uncle Shad might keep on investing? Screw that and screw him (and screw the Khans is true). Time for the FST to ratchet up the protest and increase the pressure and the problem for AM and the Khans. AM has made it clear that management is not going to do anything out of the kindness of his and its heart.
Does he think we are total idiots, to be treated as fools? The Kahn’s have invested millions so far and most unlikely to undermine that capital by turning their backs on FFC. I am sure the Trust treat you with the proper respect, please reciprocate.
A. M must think we are fool’s and actually he is the biggest fool if he thinks we are just going to roll over with our extortionate prices, he might get in free of charge but we the loyal fans don’t he needs to get his priorities right or shut up.
Who gives a continental about what AM thinks, I don’t anyway. I do remember when our previous chairman introduced very competitive pricing for our brilliant Europa league run to the final and I’m sure everyone can remember the atmosphere against Juve!
The trust are right to continue the protests, I feel they should intensify the stance against Shad&Co regarding the ticketing policies-real Fulham fans are missing out-the tourists will be long gone if we go down two divisions and the ticketing policy will be in tatters. And like real fans we will be there without the tourists-I guess that’s what yes man AM means?
