Simon Morgan’s testimonial takes place tonight at Craven Cottage when Fulham take on Premiership side Tottenham Hotspur.
George Graham will bring a full-strength side to SW6 as the Cottage pays tribute to stalwart Morgan, who has spent a decade with the Whites since arriving from Leicester City in October 1990. Tottenham are unbeaten in pre-season, having beaten Birmingham City at St. Andrew’s on Saturday, and are expected to field summer signing Sergei Rebrov alongside Steffen Iversen up front. Former Wimbledon goalkeeper Neil Sullivan could replace Ian Walker in goal after the England international started against Blues.
Fulham fans can pick up a special edition of TOOFIF put together in Morgan’s honour by editor David Lloyd. The magazine has been renamed There’s Only One Simon Morgan in honour of the midfielder’s long-standing service to London’s oldest professional football club. He will be unable to play in the game owing to injury, but the Whites are hopeful of a big crowd as Jean Tigana’s side will face of a stern test of their promotion credentials against their London rivals.
