Fulham are keen on signing Ipswich’s World Cup star Matt Holland for £5m, according to the Sun.
The Whites’ new director of football Franco Baresi was impressed with the midfielder’s performances for Mick McCarthy’s side in Japan and South Korea and the proposed deal could save Holland’s former club Bournemouth from bankruptcy with the Cherries holding a 25% sell-on clause after he moved to Portman Road in a £800,000 move five years ago.
The 28 year-old’s agent Jonathan Barnett said talks over Holland’s future will intensify after his brief summer break: “Nothing is happening at the moment, but when Matt returns we will have a chat about his future.”
