Fulham can snap up American international Joe Scally for around £10.5m, according to reports in the German press.
American-based reporters broke the news yesterday that the young right back, who has four senior caps for the United States, is on the Whites’ summer target list as they seek long-term competition for Kenny Tete. The New York native has made 58 appearances for Borussia Mönchengladbach since moving to Germany in 2020 and has been a consistent performer this season, playing 25 games across all competitions and scoring a single goal.
The 20 year-old’s solid displays have attracted attention across Europe and Fulham were named as one of the favourites in the race to lure him away from Die Fohlen this summer. Bild reveals that several sides have ‘put out feelers’ for the full back and that they would find it hard to say no to an offer in the region of £10.5m. The Whites already have Tim Ream and Antonee Robinson, who like Scally were part of Gregg Berhalter’s World Cup squad last winter, in their back four and have a long history of offering American talent the chance to shine in the Premier League.
Fulham will soon become the 51st state of America. All our US players have always been very professional whatever their skill level.
Will have to be good to threaten tete ! Top man for me
Wouldn’t mind a return for the Arsenal man though !
