Reports from Israel this weekend claim that Fulham have began discussions with Shakhtar Donetsk over turning Manor Solomon’s move to Craven Cottage into a permanent transfer.

Israeli newspaper Ynet says that the Ukrainian club, who are in dispute with FIFA over the terms of compensation for the governing body’s decision to allow players contracted to annul their deals for a year after the Russian invasion, are resigned to selling their star winger to the highest bidder this summer. Fulham had a permanent deal provisionally agreed between themselves and Shakhtar in the summer until the FIFA decision allowed them to take the talented winger on loan until June.

Solomon, whose sensational equaliser against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday night was his third goal in as many games, is keen to stay in SW6 and work under Marco Silva. Fulham are looking to move quickly to wrap up the terms of a permanent transfer as the Israeli international’s performances have attracted interest from a number of other long-standing suitors and are in discussions with both Shakhtar and Solomon’s representatives about both the transfer fee and doubling the 23 year-old’s basic wages.
