Willian will always have an abiding respect for Chelsea – having spent seven years at Stamford Bridge – but insists Fulham are heading into the second SW6 derby in three weeks with one target: to do the double over their local rivals.

The Brazilian winger didn’t celebrate his opening goal in the 2-1 win over the Blues at Craven Cottage last night and will do the same again should he score tomorrow night, but he wants to take all three points home at the end of the evening. The 34 year-old told Fulham’s official website today:

“It’s always what we want, to win games. Sometimes we didn’t win, for example the last two [league] games, but I think we deserved much more. Tomorrow hopefully we can go there and get at least one point, but the main thing is to always – whether we’re at home or away – play to win the game. That’s what we want.”

Willian is also delighted to be joined at Fulham by deadline day arrival Cedric Soares, who signed on loan from Arsenal for the remainder of the season.

“He’s a nice guy! I spent one year with him at Arsenal. He’s a great man and he is here to help us, so I’m looking forward to doing that all together.”
