Fulham have confirmed the signing of Torino midfielder Sasa Lukic this evening for an initial fee believed to be in the region of £8m.

The Serbian international has signed a four and a half year contract at Craven Cottage, with Fulham holding an option to extend that deal by a further twelve months. The 26 year-old moves to London after nearly seven years in Italy, having made fourteen goals in 168 games for Torino. Lukic, a versatile midfielder who can play as a holding, box-to-box operator or a number ten, has won 35 caps for his country and started all of Serbia’s games at the World Cup in Qatar.

The former Partizan Belgrade midfielder, who helped Levante avoid relegation on loan in Spain in 2017, told Fulham’s website this evening:

“I’m very happy to have signed, and to now be a part of Fulham’s squad. I can’t wait to get started and meet with the head coach, the players, and the staff, and I’m looking forward to training with them when I arrive in England. I’ve seen Fulham play this season and they’ve been playing very well. They have a good squad, with a great history.

A lot of great players have played for the Club in its history, and they have a lot of great players currently, like my compatriot Aleksandar Mitrovic.”
