Fulham are readying themselves to reject any interest in Antonee Robinson after the American full back’s fine displays during the World Cup.
Italian media reports identified Inter Milan scouts as watching the left back’s performances for the United States closely in Qatar, whilst a Teamtalk story this afternoon that Newcastle United are keeping a close eye on any developments with an eye on a January bid of their own. Fulham are relaxed about the rumoured suitors, with any Inter move said to be dependent on player sales, and want to retain Marco Silva’s first choice left back as the Whites look to build on their strong start to life back in the top flight.
Robinson, one of the undoubted stars of the USA’s run to the last sixteen which ended in defeat by the Netherlands on Saturday afternoon, has delivered a string of superb displays at Craven Cottage this season – thriving from Silva’s ulta-attacking approach. The 25 year-old has played 82 games for Fulham since moving from Wigan Athletic for £2m two summers ago and has eighteen months to run on his current contract.
Let’s not even think about selling Robinson,I think we will stay up this season, let’s keep this squad together and make a statement in the premiershipfor 23/24 season
Totally agree let’s not forget it’s Marco Silva and his team that have improved these players not only Jedi but Mitro who looks a different player under Marco by given them better Coaching and more important freedom to play,Fulham’s hierarchy ie Tony Khan should be looking at this and blocking this and politely telling these teams he’s not for sale
Robinson is far superior to Crucurella and he cost £63 million!
Talk of anything under this price should be laughed out of sight.
Seen 17 million quoted – what planet are these people from.
Ironic that only last summer we’d have been delighted to sign Matt Targett to be our first choice LB. Roles could be reversed if Newcastle get Robinson.
