Spanish midfielder Jozabed was supposed to be the missing link in Slavisa Jokanovic’s engine room when he signed for £5m from Rayo Vallecano in August 2016. But the playmaker had never played outside of his homeland and it showed as he struggled both with the physicality of the English game and homesickness. Jozabed made only eight appearances before joining Celta Vigo, initially on loan, and left the club permanently in July 2017.
