Fulham could line up one Tete in front of another come the New Year if they succeed in a bid for the Brazilian winger currently on loan at Lyon.

The Sun credits the Cottagers with an interest in the 22 year-old, who can also play as a number ten, who has been on loan in Ligue 1 since moving to France after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The Brazilian under-23 international has scored five goals and added three assists in eleven league appearances for Lyon and, although his loan spell at L’OL runs until the end of the season, he is keen to explore the possibility of a permanent move in the forthcoming transfer window.

West Ham, Leicester City, Southampton and Brentford were all keen on signing the winger last summer but opted not to strike a deal with Shakhtar seeking around £25m. The Ukrainian club will be eager to finalise a transfer in January as it represents their last chance to secure a fee for the wide man, whilst suitors will be encouraged as they won’t have to shell out as much on Tete this time around.

Saints will not be back in for the former Gremio academy graduate as Ralph Hasenhuttl’s attention has switched to signing a striker. Were Fulham successful in tempting the Brazilian to capital, he could not only join compatriots Andreas Pereira and Willian at Craven Cottage, but slot into the side in front of his namesake, Kenny, who has established himself as Marco Silva’s first choice at right back.
