Kosovan under 21 international Adrion Pajaziti has signed a new three-year contract with Fulham, the club have announced this morning.
The promising midfielder, who was handed his senior debut by Marco Silva in the League Cup win at Birmingham last season, was an integral part of Steve Wigley’s under 23 side that won promotion back to the top flight last year. The nineteen year-old, told the club’s website of his delight at committing his future to Fulham.
“I’m really happy. It’s good to get this over the line and now that my future is secured, I can get my head down and work hard. ‘ve been at Fulham since I was 11 years old so it’s great to continue my journey here. I had a good pre-season with the First Team and now I’m in Division One with the Under-21s as well. I’m looking to be the best player I can at PL2 level, and then I’ll make sure I take any senior opportunities I get.”
Fulham’s academy director Mike Cave added:
“I’m delighted Adrion has extended his contract with the club. He has continued this season where he left off the last, contributing significantly towards the Under-21s’ impressive performances. I’m excited to see him continue to develop and make the next step into senior football.”
Pajaziti’s three-year deal includes an option allowing Fulham to extend his contract for a further twelve months.
That’s good news we are finally getting our best youngsters signed to long contracts so hopefully we are learning from our past mistakes.
