Fulham winger Harry Wilson could miss the first six weeks of the Premier League season after picking up a knee injury during a behind-closed-doors friendly against Aston Villa on Friday.
The Welsh international, who enjoyed such a superb first year at Craven Cottage, will be a huge loss to Marco Silva in the early weeks of the season and was replaced by Bobby Decordova-Reid in the startling line-up for Fulham’s 1-1 draw with Villarreal this afternoon.
Silva told his post-match press conference:
“Harry Wilson and Nathaniel Chalobah are both injured. We played a behind closed doors friendly last Friday and they got injured that game. We’re waiting on the medical staff but it doesn’t look good. Harry’s injury is in his knee but we’ll wait for the medical staff.”
Brilliant!
Just brilliant!
You couldn’t adam and eve it. Silva can’t get his recruits and now this happens in a training session. He will be held responsible for failure as Mr Khan, senior thinks he has been given the tools. He believes in fairies and his son, we don’t.
Khan senior is very successful in business – that means you value your assets and get the right people in … Marco is a great acquisition … FFC is an amazing asset but – TK is clearly a liability … Khan Senior he needs to do what we have all been saying for years – get an expert full time director of football and then we will be as big Chelsea and Man U ..
We need 2 quality players in every position to survive in the Premier League. We are nowhere near that. I live in Singapore and I am afraid to read BBC sport every day waiting to hear of Marco’s resignation. TK must go and I rely on our local supporters to make our feelings known by protests, banners and chants on every occasion until we get our wish.
I didn’t rate Mike Rigg, but his signings Ream, MacDonald and Cairney which proved to be ok . At least Rigg understood football. Jokanovic pulled off the Mitro signing and the egotistic Khan junior claims the credit. That’s his problem, he take the credit but does not accept the blame.
