After weeks of speculation that Napoli would take the option on Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa’s loan move, both Fulham and the Italian side confirmed this afternoon that the Cameroon international would stay in Serie A. Per Peter Rutzler of the Athletic, the move will net Fulham €17.3m which is just shy of £15m.
The exit of the marmite midfielder adds to Fabio Carvalho’s move to Liverpool of a potential £7.7m, perhaps boosting the potential incoming budget for Marco Silva and Tony Khan to work with.
Finally. Good riddance. Good player, should be what we need, but too disinterested.
Personally I’d say he has been one of our best purchases over the last few years, not his fault the team around him wasn’t good enough for regular premier league status hence his desire to go out on loan. Understand why he has gone big hole to fill
Always liked him, under rated by the media and some sections of the fans, but the bottom line is his heart wasn’t in it. Better to get rid and get players in who will fight for the club.
