Jerome Bonnissel is under no illusions that Fulham will face a bruising battle against Blackburn Rovers on Sunday.
The French full back told the club’s official website:
“I don’t know very much about Blackburn. Other than that my friend Lorenzo Amoruso will be playing for them of course. We played together at Rangers and we were good friends, and also Barry Ferguson who has moved there as well. He is a very good player, and I think that Graeme Souness did very well to take him there – he will be a big threat for them. There’s no doubt that they are a good team, they are in the UEFA Cup and they look strong in all positions. In Glasgow, the Rangers’ fans still look on Souness as a God – he did a good job up there and the supporters think the world of him.
“It will be a difficult game, like any other away game. But we are a good team; we have a good technical level and a good spirit. We must learn to take more points, like in the last two matches which we should have won in both cases, but we are capable of doing better.
“Things have gone well so far this season; we showed at Tottenham how well we can play away from home, so we shouldn’t be afraid about going up there, although we know it will be very tough.”
