Jonathan Greening has completed his permanent move to Fulham following his successful season-long loan from West Bromwich Albion.
The 31 year-old midfielder moved to Craven Cottage on loan last August after Fulham had two bids for him rejected by the Baggies, with chairman Jeremy Peace describing the first offer as ‘derisory’. The former Manchester United trainee made 34 appearances under Roy Hodgson last season – scoring a single goal against Portsmouth – and came off the bench during the Europa League final against Atletico Madrid.
Greening opted to make his move to London permanent despite West Brom’s promotion back to the Premier League. The former Middlesbrough midfielder has put pen to paper on a two-year contract – and the deal is reportedly worth around £4m.
