Fulham manager Kit Symons insists the £11 million fee paid for Scotland striker Ross McCormack represents a bargain.
Eyebrows were raised when the club shelled out a Championship record fee to prise McCormack away from Leeds in summer 2014.
However, the 29-year-old hit 19 goals last season and has seven so far this term.
And Symons believes the ex-Rangers and Motherwell frontman has more than justified his lofty price tag.
He said: “Ross was signed before I took over but it was a fantastic bit of business. His fee raised a few eyebrows but it’s the going rate. He delivered last season in a struggling side and he’s delivered again this term.”
