The Mirror has a piece this afternoon looking at how Marco Silva’s side could smash the Championship goals record given how potent they are proving in front of goal this season.

The Whites only scored once at Hull on Saturday but it was enough to clinch another crucial away win to maintain their six point lead at the top of the table. Aleksandar Mitrovic’s winner took Fulham’s tally to 78 goals from thirty matches, which still looks incredible even when you are used to writing it down.

Because most modern football records only date back to the dawn of the Premier League, the Mirror puts Manchester City’s haul of 108 goals under Kevin Keegan in 2001-02 at the top of the pile. Bolton managed exactly a century in 1996/97, whilst Reading finished on 99 in 2006. All three are easily in reach of Silva’s side, who were projected to score 126 by the Daily Mail last month.

Fulham have only failed to score in three matches during this campaign – a stark change from the unambitious football served up by Scott Parker in previous seasons. Long may it continue.
