Cyrus Christie scored one and made another as Swansea staged a stunning comeback to beat Bristol City and move up to sixteenth in the Championship table.

The Republic of Ireland has made a huge impression in the early stages of his loan spell in South Wales. Christie, who made just one appearance under Marco Silva at Fulham this season, laid on Swansea’s equaliser early in the second half when his shot from the right was slid home by Michael Obafemi. That cancelled out Andi Weimann’s excellent individual goal and it got better for the hosts when Christie headed home from close range after seeing Dan Bentley keep out his own initial effort and the rebound from Oliver Ntcham.

Joel Piroe wrapped up the points for Russell Martin’s men in the fourth minute of added time with a low drive that secured a double over City since 1958.
