Fulham full back Marlon Fossey scored his first senior goal and made another as Bolton Wanderers came from behind to claim a dramatic victory at Oxford United this afternoon.
The American defender, making a big impression during his loan spell, lashed in a leveller from twelve yards to bring Bolton back to 2-2 during an extraordinary first half. The attacking right back produced a brilliant assist in the closing stages with a low cross for in-form forward Amadou Bakayoko to grab the winner.
Fossey spoke to Bolton’s official website after the final whistle:
I’m really happy for Marlon especially when you consider the injuries he’s had these past years. I sincerely hope he returns to Fulham and is part of our squad for the next season, the kid has always had the talent, now it’s hopefully his time to shine.
