Fulham’s hopes of offloading Diomansy Kamara this summer have been dashed after the Senegal striker was ruled out for six months after rupturing knee ligaments on international duty.
Kamara, 27, who managed just six goals for Fulham last season following a £6m move from West Bromwich Albion, will undergo surgery this week after suffering the injury in Senegal’s 3-1 win over Liberia.
Fulham have history with Senegal after former manager Chris Coleman took issue with the number of injuries that midfielder Papa Bouba Diop picked on during international duty.
