Fulham have angrily denied press reports suggesting that Alain Goma was about to leave the club during the January transfer window.
The Premier League club took the unusual step of issuing an official statement on their website this morning insisting that the French centre back, signed from Newcastle in 2001, was happy at Craven Cottage and is in talks about extending his current contract.
The Evening Standard had reported earlier this week that Goma was ready to walk away from Fulham having grown disillusioned with a lack of first-team football under Chris Coleman.
