Reports from Italy suggest that, whilst Napoli are keen to turn Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa’s loan move into a permanent arrangement come the summer, they are preparing to ask Fulham for a discount on the agreed fee of £13m.
The Cameroon international has enjoyed an excellent loan spell in Italy, making 21 appearances for Napoli as Luciano Spalletti’s side have mounted a Serie A title challenge. Fulham are unlikely to entertain dropping the clause already written into Anguissa’s loan despite Tutto Mercato Web claiming that Blues’ officials are hoping to reopen negotiations ‘soon’.
The Italian website claims that Napoli might still decide to go ‘all in’ on the transfer, which was previously thought to be dependent on the Parthenopeans qualifying for the Champions’ League.
They have got some brass neck! They are second, they might even win the Italian league let alone qualify for the champions league and they’re asking for a discount. We’re definitely too much of a soft touch when it comes to transfer market negotiations. Pay the correct price or nothing at all.
“Oh hey, this guy you loaned us and we already agreed a price for, has been really good, and therefore we want him cheaper.” Do you hear yourselves?
Let’s keep Frank, he can do a job for us in the Premiership.
