Liverpool have submitted a £5m offer for Fulham attacking midfielder Fabio Carvalho, according to various reports this afternoon.
The Championship leaders do not what to lose one of their brightest talents in the January window and are prepared to try and hold onto the teenager until his current contract expires in June. There is no word yet on Fulham’s response to Liverpool’s bid.
Can’t understand why they get these players then never play them ie Harvey Elliot
Maybe because he broke his ankle !
Havey Elliot would have been a regulat starter if he hadn’t got injured
Why take 5m, when tribunal got us 4m for Elliot we would at least get the same. It’s a poor offer when he could stay and help us go up.
If Fabio had any gratitude for Fulham’s development of him, he would have signed a new contract with a reasonable buy-out clause. At this stage I would accept £5m with a loan back until the end of season.
I would take 5 million with a loan back until the end of the season.
Then I would sit him on the bench. That way he can get used to what it’s going to be like for him. E.G Patrick Roberts.
What is the point having anacademy all we do is produce good players for the likes of Liverpool to steal them from us for a measly price . Let them produce their own I say these youngsters have no loyalty and greed is all they want. I would scrap our academy and do what Liverpool are doing.
Fabio has kept very quiet so we must presume he has no loyalty. I would try and push up the transfer fee to 7.5 million with the proviso he comes back on loan for the rest of the season. I would use some of the money on buying Bowler from Blackpool
Loyalty? FFS it’s their job! They want to play at the highest level, with world class players, and compete for European honours. They also want to play at a club that has very little prospect of going down every other year. I am sorry that it looks like he’s leaving, but I don’t blame the lad. Better to get £5m and a loan back for the rest of the season than get nothing when he’s out of contract at the end of the season. Bowler will go for more than that given the ridiculous amounts of money players are valued at now.
