John Pantsil has insisted that he is fully committed to Fulham – dismissing suggestions that he has an eye on this summer’s World Cup.
The Ghana right back will be part of the Black Stars’ squad for the finals in South Africa this summer after starring as Ghana surged to qualification with relative ease. He is excited by the prospect of appearing in his second successive World Cup but says he is fully focused on helping Fulham consolidate their place in the top half of the Premier League.
It definitely won’t get in the way of what I want to do for Fulham. We want to finish in the top 10 again and repeat the history and success of last season.
I believe in God and whatever happens in my life is the will of God and I know I am very well protected. I will be guided and I won’t be thinking about injuries or the World Cup when I play for Fulham.
I will be focusing on here until it comes. It’s especially big for Ghana to be in the World Cup again. But for now, it’s all about the Premier League season and about how we progress. The fans can be sure of this.
