Olly Johnson runs the rule over some fine Fulham performances after Marco Silva’s side dismantled Bristol City yesterday …

Marek Rodak: he’ll be disappointed with the first goal, beaten at the near post at a relatively comfortable height. Mistakes are few and far between for Rodak but this was one, albeit not helped by Tom Cairney’s defending. He could do nothing about Semenyo’s second, smashing the woodwork before going in and he gave a good account of himself for the rest of the game, making a couple of solid saves and commanding his area during crosses and corners. 7

Kenny Tete: A solid if not ground-breaking performance from a reliable player. Some might argue he could have done more to get back in position for Bristol’s first but a positive performance on all accounts after that, a delightful deep cross to Mitrovic allowed him to set Kebano up to make it 2-2. 7

Tim Ream: He’s had much better games but it was far from a shocker. He’ll look back on the second goal and wish he took a yellow card to take Semenyo out, he was never going to win a foot race against such a pacey striker so a tactful foul would’ve been the best method of defence, understandably he may have felt a foul in that position could’ve resulted in a red card which would’ve been bad news. 6

Tosin Adarabioyo: A solid display once again after a stellar performance on Tuesday night, the defensive line was breached a few times on the break especially in the first half and some better organisation from the entire back-line could have prevented that. A towering header early in the second half into a dangerous area allowed Kebano to grab his second of the game – more on that later. 7

Antonee Robinson: Once again his pace down the left whilst attacking caused the Bristol City defence some issues, creating gaps for other players and it was great to see some good link up play between Robinson and Kebano. Caught out at the back a couple of times and some poor crossing attempts diminish his overall rating. 6

Harrison Reed: Looks so much more comfortable in the deeper role which Seri has been occupying and could give Silva a selection headache at CDM when Seri returns from AFCON. Similar to Ream he could’ve looked to take out Semenyo before his second but he was in a much more perilous position and it would more than likely have resulted in a red card. For the rest of the game he kept the ball ticking in the middle and shifted us forwards from deep whilst breaking up the play superbly and nullifying Bristol’s threat. 8

Tom Cairney: What a joy it is to have Cairney back playing every week, he’s shown his permanent quality since returning from injury against Cardiff and returned two first half assists, one was a lovely outswinging corner and the other a simple pass into Mitrovic who did the rest. Much like Reed, he kept the ball ticking over in the middle and his calmness on the ball helped us cruise to victory. 8

Harry Wilson: How lucky we are to have Harry Wilson playing for us in the Championship, he showed us again yesterday that he’s a cut above this league and we should be thrilled to have him all but secured if (when) we get promoted. Just the one assist and no goals yesterday compared with Tuesday’s haul of 5 direst goal involvements but still an excellent performance and caused continuous problems down the right. 8

Fabio Carvalho: A gorgeous goal showed all his qualities – pace, skill, balance and a decent amount of strength followed by a perfect finish. This is what we came to expect from Carvalho after his first five games for the club but since then he’s struggled to make such an impact until yesterday’s game. He linked up well with the midfield and attack around him and whilst he didn’t set the pitch alight as he has in the past, it was a really decent performance topped off with a Messi-esque goal. 8

Neeskens Kebano: Kebano’s ability this season hasn’t surprised me one bit, he’s shown numerous times that he’s got what it takes to be a great player, we saw that at times under Jokanovic but sadly Parker didn’t give him the time of day despite the fact we may well have missed out on promotion without his post-lockdown form, especially heading into the play-offs. What has surprised me is the consistency of his performances and the confidence Silva has instilled in him. A tricky winger with all the right attributes, no more so than his attitude which was seen with his determination to get into a position to head in his first goal of the day. His second goal and Fulham’s sixth was my personal favourite of the game. His touch to bring down Tosin’s header reminded me of the Berbatov days and the finish was dispatched beautifully. The only thing stopping me from handing out a 10 was the guilt edged chance he had to grab his hat-trick moments after scoring his second. 9

Aleksandar Mitrovic: Simply sensational. His all round game is that of a complete number 9, his ability to sit slightly deeper and hold the play up, involve the wingers and create space behind was seen again yesterday and ultimately he ended up with his third hatrick of the season with each goal better than the last. Championship defences can’t handle him and I’m confident there will be enough premier league defences with the same issue for him to have a big impact if (when) we get promoted once more. 27 goals in 24 games is a ridiculous achievement and he now finds himself just 4 goals from Ivan Toney’s Championship record of 31 goals, with 21 games to go. I have no doubt he’ll be eyeing up the 40 goal mark and I wouldn’t bet against him doing that. He also provided another assist yesterday bringing that tally to seven and showing his all round ability. 34 goal involvements in 24 games sounds even better! 10

SUBSTITUTES

Nathaniel Chalobah, Rodrigo Muniz, Bobby Decordova-Reid: It’s hard to make a big impact when your side is already 6-2 up and in cruise control. None of the substitutes managed to get the crowd on their feet but they still put in the effort required and kept the ball well in the latter stages of the game. 5
