Fulham manager Chris Coleman will miss tonight’s FA Cup replay at West Ham United after being ordered to rest having developed an infection in his leg. Coleman’s assistant Steve Kean will take charge of the first team at Upton Park.
A club statement read:
“On waking this morning Chris Coleman complained of feeling particularly unwell to his wife, and the Club’s Doctor was called.
As a result he has been diagnosed as having an infection for which he requires 24 – 48 hours bed rest. Therefore Assistant Manager Steve Kean will be taking charge of the team for this evening’s fixture at West Ham.
Steve has of course been in contact with Chris several times during the course of today, and we wish him luck at this evening’s fixture, along with wishing Chris a speedy recovery.”
