Former Fulham goalkeeping coach Gerry Peyton is joining Arsenal, the North London club confirmed this afternoon.
Peyton, who spent the last two years training Fulham’s goalkeepers, announced he was leaving the west London side earlier this week ‘actively pursue his other interests within the football industry’. The former Republic of Ireland international was Arsene Wenger’s choice to fill a vacant slot in his backroom staff after David Seaman, who had been pencilled in as the Gunners’ new goalkeeping coach, decided to continue his playing career with Manchester City.
