Promising Fulham winger Sean Doherty has signed for Blackpool on an initial one month loan deal, although Seasiders boss Steve McMahon is eager to extend the arrangement if possible.
The teenager has been brought in at Bloomfield Road to solve Blackpool’s shortage of options on the left wing and Fulham are keen to see their highly-rated prospect get a taste of senior football. Doherty, who came through the Everton academy before moving to Craven Cottage, has been a regular in England’s youth sides and was part of the English under 20 side at last summer’s prestigious Toulon Tournament.
Doherty is expected to make his Blackpool debut in Saturday’s home clash against Notts County.
