Fernando Rubinho’s agent has played down speculation linking his client with a move to Fulham.
Cottagers boss Roy Hodgson had reportedly been weighing up a move for Palermo’s £3million-rated goalkeeper.
Rubinho has failed to dislodge Salvatore Sirigu following his move from Genoa and was believed to be weighing up his options.
However, agent Joao Santos insists his client is happy in Palermo and he has not heard or spoken to anyone from Fulham.
“Rubinho has four-year contract with Palermo and he is an important player at the club,” said Joao Santos told Mediagol.it.
“I think Palermo know what to do with their key players. We only expect Rubinho to stay because he’s a good keeper.
“I’ve been working in Brazil and I’ve not spoken to anyone, not Fulham or anyone else. The rumours aren’t true.
“I deny everything that’s been written in recent days. Rubinho is under contract and he’s happy in Palermo.
“Palermo director Walter Sabatini has always told me that Fernando has to remain in Palermo.”
