Lawrie Sanchez has confirmed that he wants to continue splashing the cash in January.

The Fulham boss spent more than £15m reshaping his squad after being appointed the permanent boss at Craven Cottage in the summer and he is set to strengthen his playing resources still further as the Whites battle against the drop.

Sanchez says he still has money left over from the budget signed off by Mohamed Al-Fayed during pre-season.

“We’ve discussed the transfer budget and the areas we’d like to improve. We’d like to freshen up the team and the budget was always there after the summer and a figure set. We spoken about it the other day and we’re looking forward to doing some business in the window.”
