We already knew that Francesco Totti was struggling to be fit for Roma’s visit to Fulham on Thursday so his absence from the Roma squad for the Europa League tie wasn’t a massive shock. The Italians look a little a weaker though as two other first-teamers will also be missing.
Juan and Marco Motta are also out injured and all the signs are that former Chelsea manager Claudio Ranieri, who has a very impressive record in Italian football, will opt to stick with the team that lost to AC Milan at the San Siro at the weekend.
