Marek Rodak was delighted to keep another clean sheet as Fulham recorded a narrow win at Peterborough United this afternoon.
The Slovakian international registered his fifth consecutive clean sheet continuing a fine run of form since he displaced Paolo Gazzaniga in goal for Fulham. Rodak told FFCTV tonight:
“I’m obviously happy with the performance of the team. We dug in hard from the start for a deserved win. It was a hard, hard fought game today, happy to get a clean sheet for myself. I’m happy to not to concede a goal, we’re scoring goals and winning matches – that’s ideal.
It’s tough to come to places like this to get a win and get a clean sheet. We are confident at the moment, but every game is hard so we have to go game by game. They came out with a good tactic, they try to sit off and let us create and push on. We did, we scored and we won.”
The Fulham academy graduate made a couple of superb saves from Jonson Clarke-Harris to ensure the Whites left London Road with all three points.
It’s as if he has never been away. We are really fortunate to have Marek-for my money the best in the Championship and Fulham’s Man of the Match today.
Great game Marek you were our man of the match today keep up the good work.
I hope that terrific performance finally convinces Silva whomis the number one goalkeeper at the club.
Superb performance. Utterly baffling that he’s been overlooked as number one for two seasons running.
M.O.M.
Let us hope he steers clear on injury and plays in every remaining Championship match this season .The alternative is an utter waste of time
Listen to the fans Marco. We know our onions. Rodak was always the better option ahead of Gassinga. Clear as day. I know we’re all praising Rodak for his shot stopping but for me it’s the ball in the air where he looks much better. Start of the season we looked shaky and nervous on crosses
Totally agree Gassinga looks all at sea with crosses. Rodak is a far better safe hands and his record this season speaks for itself
