Ivan Cavaleiro and Nathaniel Chalobah have been ruled out of Fulham’s trip to Peterborough United tomorrow as Marco Silva’s side look to record a sixth successive league win.

Silva confirmed that Cavaleiro remains sidelined with a groin problem sustained in the derby win over Queens Park Rangers, whilst Chalobah is still troubled by a calf complaint.

“We have one more session this morning to prepare the game and to see how the players are. The mood in the squad is high. We still have injuries to Chalobah and Ivan Cavaleiro.”

The Portuguese head coach has already told his side that this is no time for complacency after scoring seven at Blackburn on Wednesday night.

“What we had on Wednesday is not something normal at this level. What we did after the two goals and the red card was to respect our performance, to keep going, and respect our fans. I was also pleased with the clean sheet, but in the end it was just three points.”

He knows that Peterborough will pose a particular type of challenge.

“They want to get as many points as they can to remain in this league, and they are doing it. They are always fighting, they are always trying to do it. They will respect us, but they will do 100 per cent what they can to get points from the game.”
