Napoli have made contact with Fulham about the possibility of taking Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa on loan, according to reports from Italy tonight.
The Cameroon international has been widely tipped to leave Craven Cottage in the closing days of the summer transfer window, with several Serie A clubs reportedly interested in signing him. Jose Mourinho’s Roma had been considered the frontrunners prior to this weekend, but they would also prefer an initial loan arrangement – which would be a blow to Fulham’s hopes of attracting offers close to their £20m valuation. Napoli and Fulham are understood to currently be in talks about the precise nature of a potential deal.
Anguissa, who told new Fulham head coach Marco Silva that he didn’t want to play in the Championship prior to the start of the new season, has made three appearances for the Whites so far this season. The 25 year-old has played in 66 games during his four years in south west London and excelled on loan with Villarreal in 2019/20.
Well if he’s actually said to Marco Silva that he’d rather not play for us in the Championship this season then it’s probably best if we allow him to leave ahead of the closing of the transfer window. However, it must also be the right deal for us too.
Good riddance,
What a waste of money he was,
Never any end product from him,
He won’t be missed
