Reports from Turkey today are suggesting that Fulham are back in for Bright Osayi-Samuel and are hoping to conclude a deal for the Fenerbahce winger before the end of the summer transfer window.
Marco Silva was linked with a move for the former QPR man immediately after he took over from Scott Parker at Craven Cottage, but the two clubs reportedly could not agree on a transfer fee. That problem still remains, according to Sporx, with Fulham prepared to offer around £1.7m and Fenerbahce believed to holding out for around £4.2m.
The Nigerian international moved to Turkey in January after spending four years with QPR. He has made 23 appearances for Fenerbache to date, scoring a single goal.
I would not have thought another wide player was our priority. Right back must take preference. Also try and offload Knockhaert ,Christie and another fringe player maybe even on loan to reduce our wage bill
Signing matt grimes doesn’t look like happening which is surprising, is that because Anguilla is staying.Suprised Christie being overlooked following Tete’s injury
Surprising Christie being overlooked, especially as Seri was given a chance.
I think Christie could surprise a few people, he seems to play well when given the chance.
I would think this would only happen if we have managed to offload Knockaert. Otherwise I just don’t see how Asayi-Samuel fits in to a group that already includes Wilson, Cavaleiro, Kebano, Decordova-Reid, Muniz & Knockaert (not to mention Carvalho and Stansfield who can cover there too).
We’d be better off investing any money into the centre midfield on cover for the likes of Cairney/Reed.
We need a proven right back now Tete is injured and one more centre back as long as it’s not Phil Jones.
Agree with the above comments, cover in defence essential, but anything but Jones, he will play a couple of games and then be out for six months with a twisted sock
I dont think he is good enough especially at 4 million. bring Cauley back.
I agree with some ot these comments….when we bought Alfie he was good, he got injured and had a rough time. His game when we played Hull and he replaced Tim Ream due to the injury was back to his best so he is good cover at CB.
With Odoi and Christie if he stays we have cover for RB.
As a straight replacement for Knockaert maybe but the brutality of the championship would lead me to midfield cover.
