Fulham boss Chris Coleman condemned his side’s performance in their 3-1 defeat at Everton as “embarrassing and unacceptable.”
The defeat leaves the Cottagers perilously close to the relegation zone and facing Liverpool and Chelsea in their next two matches.
Coleman was furious with his players and rounded on his senior men for their lack of fight.
Coleman said: “We were second to everything. We under-performed, under-achieved, 3-1 flattered us, it could have been more.
“We were outplayed by Arsenal and that is two weeks running we have been like that, I am embarrassed. When you see that performance you can see why we haven’t been winning away.
“You all saw the way we played, that was the most painful 85 minutes I have had to endure since I have been manager. The flurry at the end and our penalty should not mask what was a truly bad display.
“Now we have Liverpool which will be no easier. I won’t be picking the same team and everybody watching us will expect changes.”
Fulham were 3-0 down before they grabbed a late Collins John penalty.

But Coleman added: “When you are having a bad time there are certain experienced players in your team, your big name players, you expect them to step forward and take responsibility, and they have not done that.
“That is disappointing. Our away record is embarrassing, it says something about a team that can win nine games at home and play well and away from home we can’t win once.
“I do not want that as our record. It speaks volumes about your team. Relegation is a fear, we have had a difficult run and there are games coming up that do not make it any easier.
“West Brom and Birmingham have tough runs too and we have some good home games coming up. But are we happy finishing fourth or fifth from bottom? I certainly am not.
“That is where we will end up if we don’t start performing away and at home. If we could win two away games, not a big demand, we would be six points better off and out of danger.
“We have only won twice on the bounce twice in 18 months, and that shows our inconsistency. This defeat was just an unacceptable performance.”
