The third round of the Carling Cup draw has thrown up a number of tasty ties, with Fulham’s trip to Birmingham and Arsenal’s trip to Manchester City being the highlights.

Fulham’s prize for their win at Boston United is a trip to Birmingham who have been struggling this season.

The big guns were exempt from the second round due to European commitments, but The Gunners will have to be ready for their trip to Eastlands to face Kevin Keegan’s City.

Another all-Premiership tie will take place at St James’ Park, as Newcastle United have been drawn to face Norwich City.

Bolton Wanderers will have to overcome Jacques Santini’s impressive Tottenham Hotspur side if they are to progress.

Charlton Athletic will play host to Crystal Palace, while holders Middlesbrough have been paired with Coventry City.
