Kit Symons is considering ringing the changes for Fulham’s League Cup tie at Wycombe Wanderers tonight.
The Whites were disappointed to only draw their Championship opener at Cardiff City on Saturday and, although he won’t be underestimating their League Two opposition, the Fulham manager views this tie has an opportunity to look at some of the newer members of his squad.
“Sometimes you change a team, but it will be one I think that can go out and do a job for us,” he said. “The league is the priority and getting promotion and cup runs are an added bonus, but you still take each game on its merits. We’ve got to go out and win every game. The philosophy being a three or four round run still drains energy, with no great financial return at the end of it got to go out and win every game.”
Cauley Woodrow is in line for a rare start with Alex Kacaniklic likely to line up on the left flank and Symons is mulling whether to hand new midfielder Sakari Matilla a debut.
