Fulham goalkeeper Marek Rodak has signed a new three-year contract and rejoined Rotherham United on a season-long loan, the club have confirmed this evening.
The Slovakian under-21 international is highly rated at Motspur Park and made his first-team debut in Fulham’s League Cup victory at Wycombe Wanderers last season. He enjoyed a successful loan spell at the New York Stadium last season, making 38 senior appearances as he helped the Millers’ return to the Championship at the first attempt – as they won the League One play-off final, beating Shrewsbury Town 2-1 after extra time at Wembley.
Rodak, who has previously had loan spells with Farnborough, Welling and Accrington Stanley, was one of Paul Warne’s leading summer transfer targets and is understood to be keen to test himself at Championship level whilst gaining further first-team experience. He could be involved in Rotherham’s latest pre-season friendly against Premier League side Cardiff City this evening.
