Tom Cairney’s outstanding volley against Wolves has been nominated as a contender for the Championship’s goal of the month award in December.
The Fulham skipper’s sweet strike, meeting a free kick from Stefan Johansen in mid air from the edge of the box in a move rehearsed on the Motspur Park training ground, put Slavisa Jokanovic’s side 3-1 up in a crazy game that eventally finished 4-4. Cairney’s goal has been nominated alongside efforts from Bristol City’s Luke Freeman and Jamie Ward of Burton Albion.
