A Sky Sports report this morning claims that Tottenham and Everton are among a clutch of clubs who are keen on signing Fulham striker Moussa Dembele in January.
The French youth international has long been linked with a move away from Craven Cottage and has shown no sign of extending his current contract with Fulham, which expires in June. The Championship club are determined to keep hold of the 19 year-old until the end of the season – and thus activate compensate payments should he choose to move on – but a number of Premier League and leading European clubs are known to monitoring Dembele’s performances and may test Fulham’s resolve with official offers next month.
Fulham have tabled a new, four-year contract offer with Dembele and his agent, but the former Paris Saint-Germain striker, long viewed as one of the stars of the club’s Academy since he moved from France in 2012, is not likely to agree new terms. Dembele’s emergence as a regular source of goals in the first team this season has followed a prolific career at youth level, which saw him help Fulham reach the FA Youth Cup final in 2014. He has scored ten goals in 24 appearances this term and established himself as Ross McCormack’s main strike partner, although he missed Tuesday night’s win over Rotherham through injury.
