Young centre back Adam Watts has joined Northampton Town on loan until the end of the season.
Watts signed a new deal with Fulham last September keeping him at Craven Cottage until 2010. He has previously had a spell on loan at MK Dons.
Northampton manager Stuart Gray is delighted with the deal.
We are really pleased to have signed Adam, who is very highly rated by his club. He was sought after by a number of clubs who were all keen to take him on loan so we are happy to have won that race.
Adam suffered concession in a recent game and on medical advice he may have to sit out of weekend games, but we are sure enough of his ability to bring him in as I am confident he will be a big asset to us in the remaining matches.
Good. I know he’s been out injured for a long time, so whatever gives him the most match practice is probably best for him.
