Dnipro have turned down two bids from Fulham for Ghana international Derek Boateng.
Martin Jol moved to sign the former Getafe holding midfielder after being impressed with his performances during Fulham’s Europa League qualifier against Dnipro. But the Ukrainian side rebuffed both a loan deal and Fulham’s subsequent offer to sign the 28 year-old on a permanent deal in the summer.
Boateng told MTNFootball.com:
When the transfer window opened Fulham approached Dnipro to sign me on loan but by club flatly turned down the offer. Fulham then offered to sign me in the summer but that was also rejected. So I won’t be moving to Fulham.
Gutted about this. I’ve been wanting Fulham to sign him for a couple of years now. Think he’s exactly what we need.
