Stephen Kelly admitted that last night’s victory over Liverpool was a much needed win as Fulham try to climb up the table.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the Republic of Ireland international felt the result was a deserved boost for the Whites as they haven’t been been getting the luck that some of their performances have warranted recently.
It was a desperately needed win. We’ve been playing well but we haven’t been getting the rub of the green and today we did. Clint following up that shot was fantastic and three points are desperately needed, giving us a good chance of pushing up the table and it’s nice to look at now for us.
There were a lot of chances tonight. Schwarzer pulled off a couple of good saves but it was the same with them, a couple of one-on-ones with Moussa and Clint having shots and there were chances at either end. I think as soon as the [Liverpool] player got sent off it gave us the advantage and we took that on and pushed at them.
