Gary Hooper is having a medical at Fulham ahead of a proposed loan move from Norwich City, according to the Daily Mail.
The Canaries forward has slipped down the pecking order at Carrow Road during the summer and spent much of the close season being linked with a move away from the club. Both Sheffield Wednesday and former club Celtic were thought to be keen on capturing the 27 year-old striker, but Fulham have stolen a march on their competitors this afternoon having swiftly concluded talks with the Premier League side about the possibility of a season-long loan deal.
Hooper, restricted to just two substitute appearances for Norwich this season, has scored 20 goals in 70 games for the Canaries since signing from Celtic in a £5m deal back in June 2013. Fulham manager Kit Symons is keen to bolster his striking options as he reshapes his squad following a shaky start to the new campaign – and Hooper’s of scoring goals at this level, for both Scunthorpe and Norwich, makes him a perfect potential foil for Ross McCormack, who signed a new contract at Craven Cottage earlier this month.
