On-loan Fulham midfielder Josh Pritchard scored the winner for Tromso as they toppled Besiktas tonight in their Europa League play-off first leg.

The 20 year-old midfielder, who spent ten years at Manchester United, as a youngster seized on a defensive mistake by Besiktas centre back Julien Escude, running fully forty yards to calmly finish past goalkeeper Tolga Zengin. It was Pritchard’s first senior professional goal. The Norwegian side will take their precious first-leg lead to Istanbul for the second leg next Thursday.

Pritchard’s impressive form for Tromso has seen his loan deal extended to the end of the Norwegian season in November.
