Fulham are in discussions with Clement Chantôme over a possible move to London, according to reports on both sides of the Channel.

Both L’Equipe and the Times claim that Fulham are close to tabling a concrete offer for the French international, who has fallen out of favour at the Parc des Princes. Chantôme, who has been told he can leave the French champions, has been negotiating a mutual termination of his contract – which runs until 2015 – with the club, which would allow him to move on a free transfer.

The 25 year-old has been a long-term target of Martin Jol, but his wages could be still be a sticking point for Fulham, as Chantôme is on a reported €1.8 million at Paris Saint-Germain.
