Fulham have rejected Tottenham Hotspur’s £32m offer for Rodrigo Muniz, according to reports from Brazil.
Bolavip reveal that Spurs’ bid was immediately rejected by Fulham, who do not wish to sell their Brazilian striker this summer, and value the 24 year-old at £50m. The Whites have already turned down an approach from Leeds United, worth £32m in total, for the former Flamengo forward and are not prepared to relax their asking price. Serie A side Atalanta also see Muniz as a possible replacement for Mateo Retegui but have yet to make a formal offer for the centre forward.
Marco Silva views Muniz, who was one of his first signings after taking over at Craven Cottage, as a key member of his first-team squad and has spoken about the striker being a big part of Fulham’s future for years to come. He shared the lone striker role with Raul Jimenez last season, scoring eleven goals in 36 appearances – including the stoppage-time winner to secure Fulham’s first victory at Stamford Bridge since 1979.
The Cottagers are confident that Muniz will sign a long-term contract extension this summer owing to his strong relationship with Silva and the prospect of increased game time during the forthcoming season.
Just tell them he’s not for sale
Click bait.
Suspect his agent is providing other clubs with encouragement. They would not be wasting their time unless they thought a transfer was possible. Hopefully all about contract negotiations and nothing more.
lets hurry up by giving him a new long contract with a 70 million release clause
It is about time for Tony Khan, to seat with Muniz, and his representatives and extend his contract with a reasonable amount otherwise we will lose him.
Are going to be a feeder club for the premiership???
Jury still out on Muniz in terms of his ability to be the number 1 and start every game.
At 50m, I would consider selling. At 32m, there’s no logical reason to let him go!
